I am thankful for my freedom today, indebted to my ancestors who toiled and sacrificed to give us this freedom. I give thanks for the men and women of the Armed Services who daily endure great sacrifice to keep us free.
In a time when many seek to divide us, let us instead choose to unite. Let us love in the way Jesus taught us. Let us respect one another’s right to their own opinions even when we disagree. No, especially when we disagree. That’s what makes us free.
May we be free with our love, generous with our kindness, and filled to the brim with thankfulness. May our faith bring us hope, and may that hope shine brightly to light the way forward.
PRAYER
O Lord, thank You for our country, our freedom, and our faith. Lord, bless us as we seek to be a beacon of light in this dark world. Help us to freely share Your Love, Your Hope, Your Peace with all those You place in our path. May we rid ourselves of bitterness and blaming, and choose always to be thankful.
