Monday Motivation: Your Grace Prevails

Friends,

On this Monday morning, I am still thinking on Grace…

BODY & SOUL

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith —and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. – Ephesians 2:8  (NIV)

The beauty of Spring is all around us. As I walk through my garden, I marvel at the precious blooms surrounding me. I am struck anew by the gracious gift God has given us in the beauty of His creation. Rocking in my glider, watching the sunrise, I am reminded once again that each new day is His precious gift to us, a chance to start fresh, to begin again.

The buds on the trees are opening, making way for shiny green leaves to emerge from their winter slumber. Those leaves remind me of the sweet gift of the seasons, the seasons of the year, the seasons of life. In all the seasons, His grace prevails.

In every new day, in each moment, His grace finds us. God knows our every need. He knows the path ahead and His grace proceeds us. He knows our faults, our failures, our sins. And He loves us anyway. God loves us so much, in fact, that He sent His Only Son to die on a Roman cross for us.

His grace is sufficient, to cover every sin, to see us through every storm. His grace brings us joy as we marvel at the sunrise or delight in the flowers. His grace brings us peace when our hearts are troubled. His grace offers hope when all seems lost. Always and forever, His grace prevails.

Your Grace Prevails

Autumn leaves turn,
Snowflakes swirl,
Delicate blooms emerge,
Your Grace prevails.

Sparkling diamond,
Wedding bells chime,
Joy of young love,
Your Grace prevails.

Life changes,
Job is lost,
Opportunity knocks,
Your Grace prevails.

Ten tiny fingers,
Baby’s first cry,
Wrapped in swaddling clothes,
Your Grace prevails.

Hard things happen,
Heartache and despair,
Helping hands outstretched,
Your Grace prevails.

Empty nest,
Feeble hand,
Trudging on alone,
Your Grace prevails.

Times of joy,
Times of sorrow,
Through it all,
Your Grace prevails.

Sun rises,
Sun sets,
Whatever lies ahead,
Your Grace prevails.

PRAYER

From 1 Chronicles 29:11-13 (ESV):

Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all. Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might, and in your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all. And now we thank you, our God, and praise your glorious name.

In the Precious Name of Our Savior Jesus Christ, we pray,
Amen

Blessings,
Anita
